Privacy & cookies
What this site stores: one functional cookie for your theme choice, plus privacy-first cookieless, self-hosted analytics. No advertising, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking.
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Federal Cost Pro builds compliance software, so we hold our own marketing site to the same standard: collect as little as possible, and tell you exactly what that is. This page covers federalcostpro.com — the public marketing site. The Federal Cost Pro application (your tenant) is governed by your tenant agreement, not this page.
The short version
- We set one cookie, and only when you ask for it: your light/dark theme choice.
- Our analytics are privacy-first, cookieless, and self-hosted (Plausible): aggregate visit counts only — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiling, and no data shared with third parties.
- No advertising or remarketing pixels and no third-party trackers. Nothing on this site phones home to Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or any ad network.
- The free calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type never leave your device.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Set when | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
fcp_theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme | Only when you click the theme toggle | 1 year |
That is the complete list. fcp_theme is a first-party functional (“UI customization”) cookie. It holds a single word — light or dark — and is never used to identify you, profile you, or track you across sites. Under the EU ePrivacy rules this kind of preference cookie is exempt from consent, which is why you will not see a cookie pop-up here.
If you never touch the theme toggle, no cookie is ever set.
Analytics
We measure visits with Plausible, an open-source analytics tool we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. It is cookieless and privacy-first by design:
- It sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifier, so it cannot follow you across visits or across other websites.
- It records only aggregate information — page views, referrer, approximate (country-level) location, and device type — never a profile of you as an individual.
- Your data stays with us: Plausible runs on our servers and shares nothing with third parties. There is no Google Analytics and no ad-tech in the loop.
Because it sets no cookie and does no cross-site tracking, it falls under the EU ePrivacy exemption for first-party audience measurement — which is why there’s no analytics consent banner.
What we don’t do
- No Google Analytics, and no analytics or ad product that profiles you across sites.
- No advertising or remarketing pixels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and the like).
- No third-party fonts, embeds, chat widgets, or content delivery networks that could track you. Every asset on this site is served from our own domain.
- No selling or sharing of personal information. (We have none to sell.)
Information you choose to give us
The marketing site has no sign-up or lead-capture forms. If you email us — for example, through the contact links on this site — we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and to follow up about your inquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list without your say-so.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our web server keeps short-lived operational logs (for example, IP address, time of request, and the page requested) to keep the site running and to defend against abuse. These logs are used for security and operations only, are not combined with any tracking profile, and are not shared with advertisers.
Your choices and rights
- Clear the theme cookie any time through your browser settings; the site keeps working and simply defaults to the dark theme.
- Depending on where you live — for example, under the GDPR or California’s CPRA — you may have rights to access or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the marketing site collects almost nothing, this usually amounts to any email correspondence you have sent us.

Changes to this page
If we add any non-essential cookie, or any tracking that isn’t strictly necessary, we will update this page first — and ask for your consent before setting it.
